![]() ![]() Kitchen staff were on point and Elwin brought dishes out to us quickly and very well-timed one after the other. We had the kunafa prawns (tasteless), the beef gyoza (okay), the wagyu, foie gras, truffle nigiri (excellent), the Origami Signature roll (okay), tempura shishito peppers (very good, their batter was so well-seasoned wish there were more of it), soft-shell crab (excellent). Recommend the Origami Passion drink, well blended and delicious. Elwin was our server and he was professional, courteous and quick. We chose to sit outside and outdoors, it was perfectly pleasant. ![]() Not the welcoming atmosphere that is much marketed. The kitchen’s harsh tube lights overpower all else. The lighting needs to be improved in the seating areas. Half of the inside seems to have thought put into it and the other half is the same outside black tables lumped together. Its interiors are much feted and I was highly curious to see the fusion of Arabic & Japanese. Origami’s outside seating is as basic as it gets but that’s fine. 3Fils is a homegrown favourite on the same strip and it’s a pleasure to be able to sit out, watching the boats and taking deep breaths of invigorating sea air. The restaurant was full with families & groups.įirst off, I love. It’s walk-in only but we were lucky enough to get a table as soon as we arrived. Origami was on my food radar so was delighted to try it out one Friday night.
